Biking at Krkonose

The unique Krkonose Mountains landscape has attracted visitors since hundreds of years.

Large sections of the national park can be explored by bike on signposted, official bicycle trails. In the foothills and around the national park´s fringes you´ll find countless mountain biking lanes, as well as low-traffic roads for trekking and road biking. Those who pedal up the ascents will be rewarded with beautiful views and unique nature. In the valleys, picturesque villages and towns with well-preserved historic centres are waiting to impress. To avoid longs ascents, you can always use bicycle lifts or bicycle buses.

The summits of the Krkonose / Giant Mts. have got the name of “the Arctic Island in the heart of Europe”. It is of no surprise then, that their gradual, even ridges offer wonderful terrain for Nordic walking. In this way may Nordic walkers on the fresh air help their health or fitness, but at the same time they’ll be savouring views from the mountain ridges or visiting interesting historical places at the foothills; however, at the time bringing something to their health. Sightseeing at Krkonose/Giant

Several hundred years of rich history left in Krkonose many sights for present generations. From nearly lost  ruin castles to renaissance chateau, elegant baroque churches, burgess houses with arcade, loghouses straggled in the middle of mountain green fields up to stone lookout or military works from WWII on the edge of mountain. Many from local history, nature and folk art is possible to see at museum. There is something for anyone.

Pool

In Jilemnice city is indoor pool and public sauna. Part of the pool in children pool with waterspout. Pool is opened daily to 21 hrs (Sunday till 20hod.). The nearest aquapark is in the City Špindleruv Mlýn.

Horses riding

There is ecological farm with horse. The farm is producing natural products and organize horse reding activity for adults, childern and groups. The farm is 15 km from Jilemnice near to Vitkovice.

Milovníci sjezdového lyžování naleznou v okolí penzionu lyžařský areál Vítkovice Aldrov nabízející 3km sjezdových tratí. Lyžařský areál je vybaven zasněžovacími děly a umožňuje i noční lyžování.

U horní stanice lanovky Aldrov je upravováno 1,5 km kolečko běžeckých stop. Další upravované tratě najdete směrem k Roudnici v délce 2 km. Nedílnou součástí úpravy běžeckých tras je Lyžařský běžecký ráj Krkonoše. V běžeckém ráji najdete též běžeckou trať na Rezek v délce 3.5km, která se napojuje na další upravené běžecké stopy na Dvoračky.
